Happy Birthday Josh!

We recently celebrated Josh's 32nd birthday, our first birthday celebration as a married couple! How long do you think I can keep that up? Our first time doing the recycling as a married couple.... our first time buying car insurance as a married couple ... and our first time changing the spark plugs in my car as a married couple!!! Anyway, I took Josh to a whiskey tasting and dinner to celebrate and boy did this place deliver. It was called Next Door Lounge and it just so happened that Josh's birthday fell on Whiskey Wednesdays! Its modeled after a speakeasy, with a secret password and everything, and it looked like this....

Very hip. We tasted 4 different whiskeys and had some delicious tapas. Josh had a great time, and it was reasonably priced so I think we'll definitely go back. There was a whiskey expert on hand and because it wasn't busy Josh got to chit chat with him and ask questions. This is how you can tell we've entered our 30's. We like having a nice relaxing dinner with drinks while discussing different geographic regions of Scotland.

Then, as tradition requires, we headed home for presents and home made cake. This year I made Dobash Cake, Josh's favorite. It was delish. Heres a little before and after sexy frosting shot.

You know I can't do anything normal, so eye thought I'd get clever with Josh's present wrapping. Happy Birthday Joshua!
