Operation Birthday

We recently celebrated Josh’s 30th birthday! He got a day to party with the guys and a day for just us to celebrate. For his boys day he did a beer tasting, a manly movie marathon, a 36” pizza (its just as ridiculous as it sounds, see below), and a homemade chocolate cake with chocolate pudding frosting.

He wanted to keep his birthday a little low key, I don’t think he was too happy about turning 30, but I made sure he had an extra special day. I also reminded him that his 30‘s could possibly be the best decade of his life. *cough cough* amazing girlfriend *cough cough*. The theme of the day was “Choose your own adventure”!

So I gave Josh options for each step of the day and he got to choose every detail. Here is the adventure he chose. The morning started of with bacon and cinnamon roll bread french toast.

We caught an early screening of “Horrible Bosses” and then we followed that up with a rousing game of mini-golf.

We got stuck behind a slow family at one point, which gave me a great opportunity to use the timer on my camera.

...and I just had to share this picture because I think its funny. Bring it on Wheel of Fortune!

For dinner I took Josh to a nearby restaurant (thank you carmeggeden) called Vino wine and Tapas bar. We did a few flights of wine tasting and split a bunch of yummy dishes!

We then went home and had a glass of wine on the porch. A nice relaxing end to the birthday weekend festivities.
