Product Subscription Review – January Ipsy & Popsugar

Nothing has changed, I’m still obsessed with my product subscriptions. I’m only on month 2 and I found myself waiting for the shipment confirmation email from Popsugar and Ipsy! I was even envious when my friend got her Ipsy shipment 2 days before me! Below are the contents of the January shipments.

The January Pop Sugar Must Have Box
-Remix Timebomb Watch (Retail $44.95)
-Pilates Stability Ball (Retail $38.99)
-Epicuren Lip Balm (Retail $8)
-Popbar Hot Chocolate on a Stick (Retail $6)
-Jet-Puffed Vanilla Mallow Bits (Retail $5.99)
-Think Thin Bars (Retail $5)
SUBSCRIPTION COST: $30
Item I'm Most Excited about: Hot Chocolate on a Stick! How Fun!

The January Ipsy Make-up Bag
-Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter (Retail $7)
-Big Sexy Hair - Spray and Play (Retail $5.99)
-Nailtini - Bloody Mary (Retail $13)
-Josie Maran Argan Oil (Retail $5)
-Soho Eyeliner Brush (Retail $7.99)
-SUBSCRIPTION COST: $10
Item I'm Most Excited about: I've been wanting to try Argan Oil so this sample is perfect. That lotion also smells good enough to consume, so I'm excited about that too!

I enjoy getting the Popsugar subscription but it feels like more of a commitment to me than Ipsy. The $30 a month price tag makes it a treat rather than something I want to continue receiving/paying for once a month. When I initially signed up, I bought 3 months worth and I haven’t decided whether to extend it after February or not. I have the Ipsy subscription on automatic renewal, basically I will keep getting shipments until I ask them to stop. At only $10 a month I can see myself continuing with this one for awhile because it’s reasonably priced and I know each month I’m going to get usable products. Although I like most of the Popsugar items, I just don’t see myself using all of the contents. For example, we already have an exercise ball in the house and I think others that fit into the Popsugar demographic might already own one too. The watch in this month’s box is a very particular style, and unfortunately its not mine. On the other hand, I will definitely be trying all of the beauty samples from Ipsy.
